Rezumat

Single crystals of CuIn4Se6 were grown for the first time. Compositional measurements carried out by TXRF, EDAX and ICP-MS techniques show that the prepared crystals were Se-rich and Cu-poor. The optical properties of the single crystals have been investigated by absorption measurements in the temperature range of 85-300 K. The temperature dependence of the band gap Eg was studied by means of a three-parameter thermodynamic model and the Einstein model. The presence of an Urbach exponential edge was shown and the temperature dependence of the Urbach tail width was studied in the framework of the Einstein model.
