Rezumat

This paper presents the events that help achieve the handover operation, based on the IEEE 802.21 standard. It will describe the wireless networks WLAN and 3G, IEEE 802.21 components and handover methods between the two networks. Finally a handover simulation made with the program Omnet++ and an analysis based on the simulation is presented.
