The article presents the results of studying the salt tolerance level in sorghum lines, varieties and hybrids of Moldovan selection. The widest range of genotypic variability for this trait was established for sorghum lines. It was recommended to use a salt-tolerance coefficient in breeding programs for the creation of salt-tolerant sorghum. This coefficient allows optimizing the comparative salt-tolerance potential of different sorghum genotypes. It was concluded that the initial material of sorghum for the Moldovan selection can be successfully used to create local salt-tolerant varieties and hybrids of sorghum adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the Moldova Republic. |
