Training in performance sport, in general and especially in boxing, represents a difficult task, because it implies complex efforts. From the training of technical – tactical skills to the physical training and the physiologic and mental one, the trainer must know the requirements of Sports Science, to improve the sportsmen’s potential under all the aspects and, as a consequence, to improve performance. This is the only way to follow in contemporary sports. The scientific leading and guidance of the training exclude the happening, the planning of the trainings must be according to provisions of sports training theory and methods, of the regulations of physiology and effort psychology.The effort in boxing implies entirely all the physical qualities, this aspect being a basic characteristic of performance boxing. The training process must be guided so that it leads to a deep adaptation of the body in terms of satisfying the requirements of this effort as much as possible. The better will the notions of technical-tactical training, the physical and psychological one, of recovery notions be understood and held the more efficient will the trainers be in selecting the specific means and training methods necessary to improve the sportsmen biological potential. Regarding the content of the sports training it is necessary to highlight that each of its factors or elements, meaning: physical, technical, tactical, theoretical, mental or moralwilling training has its own functional regulations, specific purposes and means of execution, characteristic methods of development, but among these elements there is an interdependence and they all contribute to carry out the sports performance. |
