Rezumat

It was established that the average milk yield of cows in the breeding herds of the region amounted to 7318 kg, and in the best of them it approached the mark of 10 thousand kg, which exceeds the republican and regional levels, respectively, by 2.7 and 1.5 times. The average annual milk yield of cows on commercial farms in the region is generally lower than in breeding farms by more than 40%. The live weight of first-calf heifers in the studied livestock is 428 kg, and the milk yield per 100 kg of live weight in the herd is 948 kg. The indicators are inferior to modern standards of productivity of the Holsteinized breed of cattle. The milk yield of first-calf cows in relation to the milk yield of cows of the next calving was 88.0% and was distinguished by its relatively uniform decrease during the peak of lactation. The stability coefficient in the first lactation was 88.1%, in the second and third 91.1% and 94.3%, respectively. The results obtained generally indicate a relatively high degree of stability of the lactation activity of cows throughout the entire study period.
