Rezumat

The political relations between Moldova and Poland in the 16th century were marked by the territorial issue around Pocutia, the origin of this territorial conflict was the request for a loan of 4.000 rubles from King Wladislaw Jagiello, which he was obliged to repay in full over three years, in exchange for the loan, the king pledging the city and land of Halici with Pocutia. Already towards the end of the reign of Stephen the Great and the period of the reign of his son Bogdan III, the territorial problem around Pocutia reappeared again, becoming an essential one in the Moldavian-Polish political relations. Bogdan III the One-Eyed wanted to use the territorial issue as a tool to obtain political alliance with the Poles. During the negotiations, he established relations with the great magnates of the Crown, representatives of the Kamieniecki, Firlej, Boryszewski, Chodecki families. Thus, Bogdan III the One-Eyed intended through them to achieve his political goal and conclude an alliance with Poland. In this communication, we aim to reflect some considerations regarding the relations between Bogdan III the One-Eyed and the Polish magnates.
