The article presents the fault-plane solutions of the earthquakes 1977 – 2009. A comparative analysis of fault plane solutions of the earthquakes is made, using the method of first arrival of P-waves and the Harvard centroid moment tensor method. The earthquakes occurred in the Vrancea, in the Carpathians by about horizontal compression and about vertical extension.

Sunt prezentate rezultatele soluţiilor mecanismelor focale ale cutremure simţite în Moldova pentru anii 1977 – 2009. A fost efectuată o analiză comparativă a mecanismelor focale ale cutremurelor executată prin metoda de prima sosire a undelor P şi metoda de Tensor al momentului centroid. Pentru focarele cutremurelor examinate se observă o orientare tipică pentru regiunea Vrancea a axelor de tensiune: compresie aproape orizontală şi dilatare aproape verticală.
