English composer and organist, Jeremiah Clarke (1674-1707) was the leader of the generation of composers after Purcell. He is famous for his compositions for the church, but he also composed some works intended for other genres; he composed the well-known Trumpet Voluntary, his most famous work. We will present a musicological analysis of the Fantasia for trumpet and piano in D major, a reference work. |
