Articolul tratează unele aspecte ale metodei inducției matematice, relevând importanța studierii tematicii respective în cadrul orelor de matematică. Sunt evidențiate prin exemplificări situații de aplicare eronată a metodei respective. De asemenea, este abordată și relația dintre conceptele de deducție și inducție în vederea stabilirii atât a originii acestora prin prisma procesului de cunoaștere, cât și a delimitării dintre acestea. O altă problemă discutată se referă la formularea principiului inducției matematice și la aplicarea respectivei metode prin evidențierea respectării algoritmului aferent.

The article deals with some aspects of the method of mathematical induction, highlighting the importance of studying the respective subject within the mathematics classes. Examples of situations of misapplication of the respective method are highlighted by examples. Also, the relation between the concepts of deduction and induction is approached in order to establish both their origin through the prism of the knowledge process, as well as the delimitation between them. Another problem discussed concerns the formulation of the principle of mathematical induction and the application of the respective method by highlighting the observance of the related algorithm.
