The article aims at revealing some of the changes made in the new edition of the orthographic, orthoepic and morphological dictionary of the Romanian language (DOOM 3), recently published to reflect common usage and the impact of new developments in society, especially technological ones. The study mainly focuses on loanwords that reflect the emergence of new social realities, on new vocabulary and grammatical forms, as well as on the elimination of word variants for language clarity. |
