The characteristics of botulism in young patients in Republic of Moldova
The study was done on 148 cases history of 19-44 years old patients with botulism. The
majority of patients (56,7%) were infected because of the consumption of canned foods in
domestic conditions. The neutralization reaction with botulotoxin B was positive in 41,4% of
cases, revealed on the second-third week of the disease. The disease evolved in mild and
moderate forms, the severe form was established in 13 patients, from them 5 (3,4%) died. |

Majoritatea pacienţilor (56,7%) s-au infectat după consumul în hrană a diferitor produse alimentare, conservate în condiţii casnice. Reacţie de neutralizare cu botulotoxina B a fost în pozitivă în (41,4%) cazuri, depistându-se în a 2-3 săptămână de boală. Maladia a evoluat în forme uşoare şi medii, dar a decurs grav la 13 pacienţi, dintre care 5 (3,4% din tot lotul) au decedat.</dc:description> <dc:source>Analele Ştiinţifice ale USMF „N.
