Rezumat

Traditional theories demonstrate that the state is the basic institution of the political system, the organization which carries out the regulative-normative government functions of all the aspects of the people’s life. In the vision of the great philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the state is created by the society to defend its interests. This is built on the basis of a social agreement and “will exist for ever”. The scientists, advocates of the socialist system, demonstrate that the state is a historical structure, generated by private property, which functions in the interests of the leading classes of the society. They assert that the state has a temporary character and it will disappear in the long run.
