Rezumat | ||||||
The Big Five Inventory / BFI (OP John, EM Donahue and RL Kentle) was created to allow an efficient and flexible assessment of five major personality dimensions (factors), being useful especially for research purposes. The 44 items - presented by Benet-Martínez and John (1998) for both the original English version and the one translated into and adapted for the Spanish language - have short and simple wording, avoiding ambiguity or ambiguity of meaning, as well as the potential to arouse the social desirability of the answers offered by a subject. The 44 items are divided into the following five major personality factors: neuroticism, extraversion, open-mindedness, agreeableness, conscientiousness. |
