This article encircling historical demography, with elements of epidemiological analysis, studies the impact of the 1872 cholera epidemic on the orthodox population of Chisinau. Information extracted from the parish civil status registers of churches in the cities of Chisinau allowed us to shape the evolution of the cholera epidemic, as well as to compare mortality rates from 1871-1873. |
