Rezumat

The fact that teachers all over the world are paying close attention to teachers shows how they think about the future of the country. Countries such as the United States, China, Canada and Japan have organized government-level competitions and refresher courses to support teachers. A teacher is a genius who shapes an entire generation and the future. His accomplishments seem to mend the period, and his flaws seem to interrupt the period. This study investigates the effects of Teaching English to Children on primary school English teachers' perceptions of their competence in teaching English to children and classroom practices. It also explores the suggestions for improving the Teaching English to Children lesson, taking into account teachers' classroom practice and assessing their competence to prepare well-trained English teachers to work with children. The results of the semi-structured interviews showed that while teachers felt most comfortable in material design, preparing lesson plans and getting to know children, they felt least comfortable in classroom management. It was found that the problems experienced by teachers in the classroom were related to the behavioral problems of the children, the characteristics of the children, the recognition of children and classroom management. Based on these results, it was found that the participants found the Teaching English to Children lesson useful in the acquisition of skills in the categories of "Theoretical and Practical Knowledge", "Planning and Organizing Teaching" and "Material Design", but also found it inadequate on the grounds that it was not realistic and practical.
