During 10 years we monitored the middle ear status of 234 children since their first year of life till 10 years. Comparison of electro-acoustical and electrophysiological characteristics of middle ear in children suffered from otitis media and results of surgical interventions demonstrates high sensitivity of noninvasive methods to any pathological changes in middle ear. Analysis of monitoring results improves understanding of otitis media development in childhood. |
