Rezumat

The main goal of this paper work is to present how to properly adapt and further exploit a various range of audio-visual resources, which will correspond to the coherent demands of medical learners, as well as to the European Framework of teaching English as a second language. The purpose is to introduce you to a variety of techniques some of which will be new; some of them are already widely implemented within the classes and are related to professional demands, special skills, knowledge, and experience. Studying via audio-visuals is highly motivated for medical students and promotes further self-learning within their professional settings in future due to authenticity. Authentic materials are an indispensable tool of teaching English nowadays, which facilitate not only communicative but also intercultural competence by means of discovering medical news and exploring native professional communication.
