Background. The most important skin diseases, produced by photoaggression and / or photosensitization, can be divided into 5 large groups: 1) phototraumatic dermatoses; 2) photoallergic dermatoses; 3) photodynamic dermatoses; 4) dermatoses with photobiotropism; 5) skin neoplasms. Objective of the study. In the context of those described above, we aimed to decipher some anamnestic, clinical, and therapeutic aspects on a group of patients with various photodermatoses. Material and Methods. The study was based on the retrospective research method and included a group of 29 patients (9 women and 20 men) with light polymorphic eruption (n=15), pelagroid erythema (n=8), actinic reticuloid (n=4), and late cutaneous porphyria (n=2). The patients were treated during the years 2018-2020, in the Hospital for Dermatology and Communicable Diseases. Results. The most important triggers were open fieldwork (76%), alcohol abuse (48%), and chronic liver pathology(35%). Subjective: itching, stinging, and rash pain. Objective: erythema, blisters, blisters, infiltrations, lichenifications, depigmented macules, sero-hematomas crusts.Topographically: face, upper and lower limbs, trunk.Patients were assisted with antihistamines, hypo-photosensitizers, epidermotropic vitamins and antioxidants, nonsteroidal and steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, saline infusions, hepatoprotectives, antiseptics, aniline dyes, dermatocorticosteroids, photoprotectants, and emollients. Conclusion. In order to obtain a high-performance curative result, a complex, interdisciplinary approach to the dermatoses mentioned above is recommended. |
