Rezumat | ||||||
The Jewish state is a model of successful multiculturalism, yet in the international arena it is increasingly condemned as a pariah. To be sure, Israel – like any other country – has its own share of problems. Today, we strive in the education system to allow every student to integrate into society while preserving the sources of his culture, language and faith, and learn content common to all. The main question is whether at a time when the education system in Israel sets overt goals of achievement and excellence in the field of teaching and learning, it is also possible to incorporate goals in the field of socialization in order to preserve the diverse identity of learners. |
