Rezumat

Television is a factor of mass-media communication, public, society. Health is the most valuable possession of man, but it also is a social science. The sanogenous message can al-so be obtained through images, and television is part of the new technologies of modern society. The new technologies and scientific knowledge are the most important forces, which through interdisciplinary connotations can lead to the public understanding of science, as to a relationship between science and society. The promotion of sanogenous behavior, health problems counse-ling, and the reduction of risk factors are necessary. The televised public image has become “image imperialism” and emphasized on chromatic publicity message, morphological, textual. Persuasion of the masses through televised messages leads to sanitary education based on the medical model. Health education through television and press must act in the virtue of the princi-ples of: good efficiency, truthfulness, confidentiality.
