The author tries to restore the character of a tragic destiny spending his life with a peculiar
intensity, and of a prodigious activity of Haralambie Vasiliu (1880-1953) – a wellknown
scientist-agrochemist, Doctor of sciences, professor, member of the Romanian
Academy (post-mortem), the promoter and architect of the high agronomic education of
Moldova, author of some valuable conceptions and of scientific treaties of actual poignancy.
Haralambie Vasiliu is the founder of the Agricultural Science Faculty of Chisinau, the first
university professor and dean in the capacity of which he did his duty beginning from 1933
up to 1940. |
