This paper deals with some aspects conserning the magic representation of the past in Silviu Angelescu’s novel Calpuzani, Imail Kadare’s The Dreams Palace and Orhan Pamuk’s My Name is Red. Historical novel florished in the Balkans since the romantic XIXth. century and it is still largely represented in the postmodern literature of the region. For Balkan people history is no more just a science it has the magic power to represent their identity and to remodel sad aspects of contemporary reality. Authors like Silviu Angelescu, Ismail Kadare or Orhan Pamuk express their feelings for contemporany society under the mask of historical recreation. |
