The Francophone Romanian history, yet unwritten, reclaims the “lights” spirit, which have changed radically the mentalities, and at the same time, the ratio of forces between Orient and Occident. If the two Cantemir (father, Dimitrie, and his son, Antioch) are the outstanding pioneers of Francophonie, Conachi manifests in other dimensions: as translator, diplomat and successor of troubadour intellect, taken directly from the source and incorporated in the Romanian literature synthesis, which was still a novice in the matter.
