Researching of the history of Bessarabian Nobility matters the rellating of the involvement of those social categories in the National Movement of the Romanians of Bessarabia, during the course of over the one century of foreign domination 1812-1918, as well as others aspects of socio-political life, economical and cultural, and a large part of them still remains untapped. One of the leading Boyar families of Bessarabia, which was under the Russian Imperial Administration was. he Cotruta Nobles familiy, whose representatives held various positions in the State institutions and have made a valuable contribuiton at the keeping of the National Identity. The place and role of the descendants of this family , as exponents of the social category privelegiated in Bessarabia, during the 19-th century, they presented a research interest for historians.
