The study is based on a series of 2625 cases of patients aged under 15 years old, admitted at the Republican Pediatric Hospital “Em. Cotaga”, Plastic Surgery Department between 1996 and 2006 for treatment of deep thermal and electric injuries and their consequences. The aim of this article is to study the incidence of cutaneous defects at children and to elaborate the indications for its restoration by contemporary plastics.
