La langue en soi est un trait identitaire de chaque culture et ne peut pas exister en dehors du culturel, donc cet acte de faire passer d’une langue à une autre qu’est la traduction ne peut pas ignorer la dimension culturelle. D’ailleurs, ce raisonnement a entraîné le questionnement qui avait suivi notre première lecture du texte leclézien Poisson d’or : comment transmettre aux lecteurs cible les coordonnées spirituelles et matérielles parsemées tout au long du livre et qui appartiennent à un autre univers culturel ? Comment s’en prendre, dans la traduction, aux difficultés inhérentes qui portent sur la traduction des éléments culturels ? Notre communication est organisée sous la forme d’un essai de comprendre, d’appréhender et d’analyser la seule traduction en roumain de l’ouvrage Poisson d’or de J.M.G. Le Clézio, lauréat du prix Nobel en 2008, en nous penchant plus particulièrement sur les aspects culturels de la traduction.

Language itself is an identity trait of every culture and it cannot exist outside the cultural universe, so the translation, this process of changing the words of one language into the words in another language, cannot disregard the cultural dimension of texts. In fact, this reasoning has led to the questioning following our first reading of the leclézien text Poisson d’or: how to convey to the readers the spiritual and material details typical to a different cultural universe which are scattered throughout the text? How to address when translating the inherent difficulties concerning the translation of cultural elements? This paper is organized as an attempt to understand, apprehend and review the only Romanian translation of the book Poisson d’or of J.M.G. Le Clézio, Nobel laureate in 2008, covering the cultural aspects of the translation.
