<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'>In this article authors present the shot excursus in the literature concerning the problem of congenital aberrant thymus in children, being highlighted embryogenesis mechanisms, diagnostic and treatment principles. The authors conclude that the rarity of the congenital malformations of thymus, the predominantly asymptomatic evolution frequently compromise the early diagnosis of congenital aberrant thymus in children, the best treatment choice being surgical.</description>
<description xml:lang='ru' descriptionType='Abstract'>В настоящей работе авторы представили краткий экскурс по данным литературы, касающиеся проблемы врождѐнной добавочной вилочковой железы у детей. Были освящены механизмы эмбриогенеза, алгоритмы диагностики и лечения. В заключении авторы утверждают, что редкость врождѐнных аномалий развития вилочковой железы, асимптоматическое, в большинстве случаев, клиническое течение заболевания вызывают определѐнные трудности в постановке своевременного диагноза, лечебным методом выбора являясь хирургический.</description>
