Rezumat

The aim of the article is to improve the social responsibility and competitiveness thus protecting land, water and energy when cultivating tobacco. The objectives of the paper include the testing of the main procedures of growing tobacco seedling (types of substratum, ecological phytopharmacy, analytical values of qualitative water, nutrition, use of fungicides, insecticides, etc). The used research methods were the phytopathological method (Şerban E. and Grosu A.), chemical method, statistical method (Dospexov, 1985), phenological observations etc. The testing of various strata (peat which includes organic and mineral substances allowed to determine whether the seedlings need these strata). As a result of the use the above-mentioned methods, the lowest and the highest temperatures were identified and the relative humidity necessary for the appearance of pests in green houses and tobacco plantations were determined. The use of ecological phytopharmacy increased the plant resistance to fungi, bacteriosis and viruses. The analyses of water used in watering and of the tobacco plant estimated the structure and analytical values of chemical elements (nitrate nitrogen, phosphor, sodium, magnesium, iron, etc).
