With the aim of prolongation the activity of pheromone traps for noxious insect ballworm (cotton lesf worm, tomato fruitworm) – Heliotis armigera, the posibility of utilization as a substrate for dispensers a sinthetic cord for household was investigated. Polivinyl chloride (PVC) was used for covering the dispenser to regulate the process of pheromone eliberation from dispen-sers. Results concerning the dynamics of ballworm pheromone emission from confectioned experimental dispensers under laboratory and natural conditions are presented. |
