The democratic control over the security sector is actual in the public agenda of the Republic of Moldova. In his study, the author demonstrates that the role of the Parliament in providing the democratic control over the security sector must be revized, to ensure the adequate, cyclic and permanent process of the security sector evaluation, to ensure the reciprocal responsibility of the Legislature and Executive Power, concerning the national security policy. The mechanisms and instruments that the Legislature has, must be cardinally improved.
