In the article “Study and evaluation of serological markers of viral hepatitis B, C and HIV / AIDS in TB patients” were presented data on the level of detection of markers of viral hepatitis B, C and HIV/AIDS among TB patients. In total in the study were included 110 patients with tuberculosis. Following the investigation it was established that the marker HBs Ag was detected in 16.4 ± 3.5% (18 people), anti-HBc were detected in 55.5 ± 4.7% (61 people), protective antibodies against hepatitis B–anti-HBs were detected in 61.8 ± 4.6% (68 persons), where as antibodies to hepatitis C virus were detected in 8.1 ± 2.6% (9 people). Proportion of HIV positive Ab/Ag was 4.5 ± 2.0% (5 people). The results confirm that TB patients are at increased risk of infection with viral hepatitis B, C and HIV infection and need to be vaccinated against hepatitis B. |
