The concept of imaginary represents an essential notion for the analysis of human behaviour as an individual and that of the group of individuals. This notion means an ensemble of productions, mental ones and others materialized in works on the basis of visual images that form coherent and dynamic structures. A decisive contribution in conceptual delimitations in the sphere of imaginary was made by Jean-Jacques Wunenburger, Michel Maffesoli, Philippe Walter, Joël Thomas, Pierre Brunel, Helder Godihno, Paul Carmignani, Claude-Gilbert Dubois as well as by Romanian men of sciences from the Centre of Imaginary Studies from the Philology Department from Cluj (Corin Braga, Mircea Muthu, Ovidiu Pecican, Stefan Borbely, Ruxandra Cesereanu).
