Astăzi traversăm o etapă de schimbări profunde, complexe şi radicale în toate domeniile activităţii umane. Omul în calitate de subiect al istoriei, trebuie să fie capabil de a proiecta schimbări şi a interveni în fluxul acestora. În acest sens, calitatea instruirii şi educaţiei, în special în mediul universitar, determină viitorul ţării noastre. Studenţii Universităţilor Pedagogice poartă o responsabilitate aparte, întrucât educaţia de azi trebuie să răspunde necesităţilor generaţiilor viitoare.

Nowadays we pass through a stage of complete and radical changes in all the areas of human activity. The human being, as a subject of history, must be able to plan changes and to intervene in their flow. The quality of training and education, especially in higher education, determine the future of our country. Pedagogical university students have a special responsibility, because nowadays, the education must meet the needs of future generations. We must assume that the speed of accumulation and depreciation of knowledge and skills require learning during all the life. The major changes of last decades have a major impact in this segment of the population, involving change of paradigm in education and their development as active and responsible citizens, able to take independent decisions in relation to themselves. In the context of these expectations and goals, orientation of educational institutions towards the realization of learner-centered education must be interpreted as a strategy and an educational priority.
