This article discusses the need to create a complex Russian-Gagauz thematic dictionary of a new type - the ideographic one. The novelty of the objective is conditioned by the necessity of semantic systematization of the modern Gagauz language vocabulary, as well as by the needs of those interested in studying the Gagauz language. We have made an attempt to develop and present the conceptual basis of an ideographic educational dictionary, to identify the principles and forms for creating it within the ideographic paradigmatics in the system of three spheres: the universe, a man, a man and the universe.
