In the article the author accentuates the fact that ethnic consciousness and ethnic identity are two allied but not at all identical notions. Ethnic identity is a primordial factor in formation of self-consciousness, an ethnic subject, a one of basic levels of development of ethnic consciousness. European Union eastward enlargement and belonging to this so wide community
in essence is a proof of peaceful coexistence in Europe of some multiidentical space with a pronounced idea of European unity in general. European integration of our country finally presupposes affirmation of its identity via the adjustment of all spheres of social life to the level of the European community standards.
The information, in particular, the contribution of civil society in the development of consciousness and becoming identity in terms of ethnic under the conditions of democratic reforms. |
