Rezumat

The theoretical models of self-confidence can be divided according to the central focus of the theoretical model and the preponderance of the influences exerted. Thus, we will find models that explain self-confidence mainly by centralizing the importance of internal factors and theoretical explanatory models that mainly capitalize on the importance of the influence of external factors. This division is not an exhaustive one, but one that aims to order the specialized literature in a dichotomous linear manner. Thus, we can list the theoretical models that are focused on internal factors (personality traits: extraversion, emotional stability and self-esteem; cognitive processes and emotions, etc.) determinants of self-confidence. The quality of life, at the macro level, first of all implies a development of the life situation of the individual/population, then of the way in which individuals relate to these circumstances and what are their subjective experiences; thirdly, an understanding of the way in which different areas of life are evaluated and what are the expectations and desires of the population towards them, and finally, suitable public policies can be identified and formulated to achieve the quality of life of the population. If we were to analyze the concept of quality of life through the same dichotomous linear perspective, we will broaden the perspective of internal factors by adding personal physical aspects and call them individual factors, and by external ones we mainly refer to social factors that interface the psychological aspects of the individual with societal aspects. In describing the concept of quality of life, we will analyze the perspective given by the World Health Organization (WHO), the perspectives of current research in the world reaching the social-governmental perspective and especially that of research in the field of psychology in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
