Rezumat

In our study, we aim to identify, synthetically, some religious themes frequently present in the poetic creation of V.Voiculescu. The great poet is recognized, without a doubt, for the faith of a troubled soul and the spiritual strength with which he supported this creed. Voiculescu searched for the beauty of life seen as a divine gift, his poetry testifying to a true God for whom even the supreme sacrifice was worth. Looking closely, we can identify, in the tumult of the search for divinity, illustrated in his poetry, the human being’s always longing to be in communion with God, planted in the soul of man since his creation. His aspiration to heavenly brilliance made his entire work devoted to his faith and boundless love for God. No other poet wrote so much religious poetry. His great love for the “Lord of Light” is evident, because, Voiculescu tells you: “I love you, O Lord, above all,/ For such love, a life is too little.” (“Alabaster Vessel” ).
