Rezumat

One of the pressing problems in modern Gagauz studies is the study of moral values. Particular attention is paid to the study of attitudes towards work. The perception of work and such quality as hard work in the cultures of different ethnic groups is the same, since work is the basis of human existence. However, there are some specific nuances in the mentality of each ethnic group. Some of the first mentions of the hard work of the Gagauz people are contained in the essays of V.A. Moshkov and Archpriest M. Chakir – authors of the 19th – early 20th centuries. In the 21st century works on sociology appear. Among them are the works of M.N. Guboglo “Apology for Labor” (2007), I.A. Subbotina “Gagauz: resettlement, migration, adaptation” (2007). Ethnological studies examine attitudes to work in Gagauz folklore and literature. These include the article by D. Nicoglo and L. Chimpoesh “Attitude to labor in Gagauz folklore and fiction” (2012), the monograph by D. Nicoglo “Ethnicity in the fiction of the Gagauz people” (2022).
