The functioning and organization of STP “Academica”, started in 2007 when it was adopted the law no. 138 on science and technological parks and incubators of innovation. The process of creating the park, a special attention was paid to its infrastructure development. Formed in the first year, the infrastructure has permitted the reception in the science and technological park “Academica” 31 residents - existing and new formed companies, with a total of 146 new jobs. Implementations of the projects within the park are at different stages: eight companies are working actively and in 2008, income from activities amounted to 48.4 million lei, other residents are in production stage. Creating innovative structure in the park led to the creation and beginning of the work of the small and medium enterprises and recruitment of the scientifi c-technological achievements within the business has provided the basic impetus for innovative manufacturing process.
