Rezumat

The control of diseases and pests in vineyards is one of the main measures to ensure a high level of production. The successful application of control measures requires knowledge of pests, pathogens, phytosanitary substances and technical means used for the practical implementation of pest control. Reducing the consumption of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides represents a major requirement imposed to modern spraying machines and devices from the conception - design - manufacturing phases to the exploitation phase. This reduces the harmful impact of the technical system on the environment and achieves special economic indicators. In many countries, the tendency to use the latest technologies and transition to precision agriculture, sometimes called smart agriculture, is increasingly accentuated. Airplanes and helicopters have been used worldwide for a long time for certain mandatory activities in the branches that deal with plants (agrophytotechnics, horticulture, forestry, etc.). Now, an increasingly important role is played by intelligent aerial drones (UAV, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), or drones with a high degree of autonomy and precision. The aim of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of spraying of the vineyards with the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). It has been used the M6E-X2 drone model which represent a hexacopter with six engines/propellers and six support arms, each arm being connected to an engine. The spraying system consists of a tank with a volume of 10L, a pump and 4 nozzles with jets of droplets of different sizes (60-180μm). The flight height of the drone was 4 meters from the ground and the flight speed – 5 m/s, the width of the spray – 3 meters. The research suggests that by using the drone on vines, the drops with diameters (100-200 μm) were projected uniformly on the leaf surface. Thus, the drops with diameters below 100 μm had a very low own speed of movement and their trajectories were influenced by the circulation of atmospheric air currents.
