The paper is intended to do an observational study, to interpret a series of components that form the psycho-pedagogical and psycho-social dimension of the future teacher, profession chosen by the student when applying for higher education in the pedagogic field. It will get data on how the high school student was advised, considering the future qualities a teacher must have: pedagogical competence that can be translated in educational skills, styles etc. It will analyze if after completing their studies, graduates are willing to work in the areas they have prepared for, bearing in mind that after graduation they can objectively appreciate, as well as the uprightness and consistency in applying the pedagogical rules, the appropriate professional level, the spirit of responsibility in the educational activity. Choosing the teaching profession, for which the student makes a self-assessment on the optimal variant to remain in the educational system, supposes that he achieves a set of skills relating to: a correct analysis of the situation, imagining multiple alternatives of action, anticipating positive or negative consequences, love and empathy for and with the pedagogical act. All these answers are known after the completion of studies, and students need to know about these situations/predictivity and integration on the labour market before their admission to higher education, expressed in the feeling of being called for subsequent tasks and able to cope with them. A statistical analysis/questionnaire is applied concerning the attitude towards the goals that students have for their further activity and for the professional vocational skills, opting for a pedagogical career in motivating and assessing specific options in the field of physical education and sport. |
