The correctness of oral and written expression is a basic prerequisite in the process of educating and cultivating a new generation. Thus, in our article, we deal with the journalistic discourse from the point of view of grammatical correctness, an aspect often ignored in approaches to language development in the Bessarabian context. The present study relies on results gathered from the process of monitoring the linguistic standards of a selected array of national TV stations.
