To date, the subject of bladder diverticula in children has been little described in textbooks and literature, which makes it no less important. Thus, the elucidation of pathogenetic mechanisms, clinical manifestations and last but not least, treatment techniques and methods are of particular interest in pediatric practice. Even if they meet less often, their persistence, when they are present, causes important lesions to the nephron system, causing infections, ureterohydro-nephrosis, renal failure. The current diagnostic possibilities, in correlation with clinical and laboratory manifestations, allow us relatively easily to diagnose bladder diverticula. Surgical intervention remains the basic method of treatment, being also the most effective. In this article a clinical case of bladder diverticulum associated with bilateral obstructive megaureterohydronephrosis is described. |
