Schimbările aduse în societatea moldavă de adoptarea, la 31 august 1989, a scrierii cu alfabet latin a avut importanța ei covârșitoare în oficializarea funcționării limbii române în viitorul stat Republica Moldova (chiar și cu o denumire vicioasă), pe de o parte, iar pe de altă parte, a atras consecințe de varia nivel atunci când a fost vorba de implementarea ei ca atare. O societate puternic diferențiată pe criteriul limbii vorbite (efect al politicii consecvente dusă de sovietici cu scopul de deznaționalizare și control al băștinașilor) avea nevoie de reglementări, inclusiv concesive, care să asigure o coeziune societală și nu o dezbinare a poporului (nemaivorbind de interesele, dintotdeauna, a partizanilor diferitelor interese externe în controlul acestui teritoriu). Faptul a dat țării noastre un document, și el, contradictoriu, care însă a funcționat timp de 30 de ani aproape fără modificări esențiale, cunoscând o redacție mai succintă abia în anul 2020, și ea discutabilă - LEGEA CU PRIVIRE LA FUNCȚIONAREA LIMBILOR VORBITE PE TERITORIUL REPUBLICII MOLDOVA Ne-am propus în acest articol să analizăm documentul inițial și pe cel existent prin prisma utilizării noțiunilor de sociolingvistică și a efectelor pe care le-a presupus în editarea documentelor publice, a manualelor școlare, precum și în respectarea / promovarea adevărului științific despre limba română în Republica Moldova.

The changes brought to Moldovan society by the adoption, on August 31, 1989, of writing with the Latin alphabet had its overwhelming importance in formalizing the functioning of the Romanian language in the future state Republic of Moldova (even with a vicious name), on the one hand, and on the other on the other hand, it attracted consequences of varying levels when it came to its implementation as such. A strongly differentiated society based on the criterion of the spoken language (effect of the constant policy carried out by the Soviets with the aim of denationalization and control of the natives) needed regulations, including concessions, that would ensure societal cohesion and not a division of the people (not to mention the interests, always, of the partisans of various external interests in the control of this territory). The fact gave our country a document, also contradictory, which, however, functioned for 30 years almost without essential changes, knowing a more succinct redaction only in 2020, which is also questionable. THE LAW REGARDING THE FUNCTIONING OF LANGUAGES SPOKEN IN THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA In this article, we have proposed to analyze the original document and the existing one through the lens of the use of the notions of sociolinguistics and the effects it assumed in the editing of public documents, school textbooks, as well as in respecting / promoting the scientific truth about the Romanian language in the Republic of Moldova.
