Foreign direct investments (FDI) are extremely important for the sustainable development. As a source of economic transformations and social welfare, FDI contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and thus, to the enhancement of citizens awareness about less visible, but also important problems. These problems refer to ecological situation, water and air pollution, which may cause long term health consequences. In this context, the concept of sustainable investments is an important key to the well-being of future generations.
