The article presents parts of Stelian Dumistrăcel’s collaboration with the research and cultural “Limba Română” Journal. He was a member of the editorial board for three decades and published numerous articles on the fate of the Romanian language in Bessarabia. He met and wrote about a number of participants in the national liberation movement and the resumption of the mother tongue of Bessarabian Romanians. The texts published in the “Limba Română” Journal denote the author’s constant interest in the past and present of the linguistic heritage on the left bank of the Prut.
