Rezumat

This paper represents a short theoretical-practical foray into the role and importance of strategic management in achieving the performance of companies in the energy field. Analyzing the management of energy companies we can see that the need to apply successful management strategies is a key pillar in achieving organizational performance. Often, companies in the energy field face serious difficulties in achieving its management because the purpose, objectives and economic context is difficult, requiring the application of methods and strategies focused on achieving performance. The aim of the paper is to review the role and place of strategic management in ensuring the performance of companies in the energy sphere. The research methodology focused on the use of several methods, such as: analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction, qualitative method, scientific abstraction. In conclusion, we consider it necessary to apply focus strategies that will ensure a successful performance and generate new opportunities to increase the satisfaction of its customers.
