Articolul examinează standardele regionale europene privind dreptul la asistență juridică gratuită. Analiza instrumentelor internaționale este efectuată pentru a identifica standardele internaționale stabilite ale dreptului de a primi această asistență. Se trage concluzia despre principalele obligații consacrate ale statelor de a recunoaște, respecta și proteja dreptul la asistență juridică gratuită, precum și despre importanța standardelor internaționale în acest domeniu pentru legislația Republicii Moldova.

The article examines the European regional standards of the right to receive free legal aid. The analysis of international instruments is carried out in order to identify the established international standards of the right to receive this assistance. The conclusion is drawn about the main enshrined obligations of states to recognize, observe and protect the right to free legal aid, as well as the importance of international standards in this area for the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
