Rezumat

The chosen subject of analysis is a provocation to discover an unusual literary, non-canonical form, with ironic and ideological force less inclined to sentimentalism or to the mimetic perception of the reality manifested in the history of Romanian fictional adventures in the Bessarabian literary space. It is now necessary to seriously reconsider SF literature in the Romanian space of Bessarabia, especially for the ability of the texts to blend the scientific fantasy with the high intellectual standards and to put into the wide page the social, political, economic and sociological experiments, testing the resistance of the concepts and systems, whether present or future. It is no pertinent to place these texts outside of literature in their epochs when they aim at the functionalization of hypotheses of thought that may range from a socio-political environment, as in the case of dystopia, to the metaphysical one, approaching prestigious registers of general literature: absurd or parable. In the Bessarabian space, Alexandru Gromov, a SF-based promoter, a writer inspired by utopias, symbolically linked to anti-utopias, realizes that science fiction will be a productive genre that gives the opportunity to say no to certain truths. Under the conditions of totalitarianism, the SF allowed to deal with forbidden themes, practically unapproachable in other genres. The SF stories of Ion Mânăscurtă, the disciple of Al. Gromov, are not clicheistic and the author is capable of creating major psychological dramas as well as humoristic-ironic narratives with philosophical implications. The author exploits in his creation the idea that SF literature is a literary form away from the official discourse of manipulation/ uniformity, it is more appropriate to capture the pulsations of a society dominated by ideological forces, translating the need to understand placement in a certain historical time of a certain community.
