This paper deals with the education system of minority groups in the world, in general, and the educational policy adopted by the majority towards the minority, in particular. Minorities are a complex and problematic issue and relate to many strata of life, to national definition and identity, to culture and tribal affiliation. This issue is also fraught with pain and sediment from the past. This paper examines from a comparative perspective the educational systems of several minority groups in the world. To this end, we chose to focus on these minority groups: Muslims of African descent and Chinese in the United States, French in Canada (and especially the case of Quebec), Koreans in Japan and Chinese in Malaysia. |
